Among the sacred rituals that hold special significance during the Navaratri festival, one is the Navadurga Chandi Parayanam. It is the recitation of 700 verses from the holy scripture Devi Mahatmyam of the Markandeya Purana. This is also commonly known as Chandi Path or Durga Saptashati Parayanam.
During the nine days of Navaratri, devotees worship the nine forms of Goddess Durga (Navadurgas) and recite specific verses each day with devotion.
